Cockburn Thermal Imaging were recently contacted by a landfill waste site, to ask if their Thermal Imaging technology could identify heat pockets in their waste site.

With such a large area to survey, Cockburns suggested that they develop an airborne system to cover the large area of land In conjunction with a local light aircraft company, Cockburn Thermal Imaging were able to mount their Thermal Imaging Camera to the side of the aircraft, and take video streamed images of the whole site, locating immediately any areas of concern

The resultant footage was copied onto real time video CD with voice over, and individual snap shots were analysed and provided as a hard copy report.
