Aquatite suits range of rainwater applications

A Corus Colorsteels product story

Aquatite from Corus Colorsteels is designed to provide good drainage efficiency and protection from ultraviolet light, harsh weather conditions and general wear and tear.

Available in 1.2mm thermo-polyolefin (TPO) or PVC formats, Aquatite is suitable for a range of rainwater applications, including valley gutters, flashings, roofing and parapet copings.

It combines a strong, formable metal substrate with a non-permeable weather-resistant membrane, factory bonded to the water-carrying surface.

Both Aquatite TPO and PVC can be installed using 'single-ply' heat seaming techniques, offering an alternative to multi-ply guttering and roofing materials, which can be time consuming and messy to fit, according to the company.

They can be fabricated into virtually any shape or profile using existing equipment and methods, providing cost, time and labour savings and reducing the risks associated with working at height for sustained periods of time.

The products are galvanised by hot-dip substrate to BS EN 10147, providing corrosion resistance even at cut edges.

Aquatite TPO is guaranteed for 20 years, with an expected lifespan of 25, while Aquatite PVC comes with a 15-year guarantee and an expected lifespan of 20.

The guarantee covers the full gutter system, offering full and complete restoration in the event of any defects, and applies to the specific building meaning that, should ownership change, it can be transferred.

The products also provide thermal performance, aiding compliance with Part L Building Regulations, making them suitable for specifiers and facilities managers looking for long-lasting and efficient 'fit-and-forget' options.
