Polypipe provides plastic plumbing systems
Polypipe's recent launch of the Polysure press fit fittings system means it can now offer a plastic plumbing system for every application.
A number of major end users - housing associations and local authorities in particular - are now recognising the considerable benefits of using a plastic plumbing system in their homes.
Polysure press fit fittings from Polypipe
Darren Cockayne, Product Manager for plastic plumbing systems at Polypipe commented: "Polysure is an exciting new range of radial press fit fittings - the first on the UK market available in all UK sizes and importantly Polysure fittings can be used with either or both grey Polyplumb and white Polyfit polybutylene pipes, in domestic properties.
"Many installers are comfortable with the Polyplumb push-fit fittings range that utilises technology that has been around for the past 30 years now, and like the fact that it's quick to install and permanent once it's fitted.
The new improved design Polyfit push-fit system now sports the same ribbed 'wave' design as the Polyplumb range and again is fast to fit but is demountable and re-useable which is the right option for some of our customers.
Polysure completes the set of plastic plumbing system options we offer and ensures that there is a plastic plumbing option for any application".
There are no longer concerns about plastics in plumbing and heating installations, especially where elevated temperatures and pressures are involved.
While some installers still like the traditional copper pipe options, it's increasingly accepted that plastics give a clear advantage over traditional materials when it comes to flexibility.
The ability to bend and curve pipes in and around buildings and their structure means quicker, easier installation.
The high quality fittings supplied by Polypipe ensure that plastic systems give the installer a level of security that gives peace of mind.
Press fit fittings significantly reduce the risk of tampering.
Polypipe plastic plumbing products have traditionally been future-proofed - designed to meet future requirements and utilise new technology to ensure no corrosion, fewer joints and reduced risk of leakage.
This continues through the design of Polysure and as Polypipe's plastic plumbing systems are made from clean, lightweight, non-hazardous products, they still importantly require no hot works at all.
