Capita Symonds wins Thurrock Community project

A Capita Symonds product story
Edited by the Buildingtalk editorial team Jan 21, 2010

Capita Symonds has been commissioned for the Thurrock Community Centre Project to undertake feasibility studies on three sites.

Appointed by the Thurrock Thames Gateway Development Corporation, Thurrock Council and South West Essex Primary Care Trust, Capita Symonds will undertake the studies at sites which have been identified as possible locations for new community centres.

The feasibility studies will test a range of options and assess the viability of providing the new centres, which will accommodate a range of social, health and community facilities, at South Stifford, Chadwell St Mary and Aveley.

The work builds on previously completed masterplans for each area and will assess the proposed location, the capital development costs, and the risks associated with the delivery of each of the centres while also exploring how each facility can be funded to ensure its long-term business plan and financial sustainability.
