New and existing partners seek Color Kinetics' technology and expertise to distinguish their LED-based product lines.
Kinetics Incorporated, a pioneer of intelligent solid-state lighting systems and technologies, today announced the continued traction of its OEM and Licensing business, both in extending its expertise to new partners, and renewing its agreements with existing partners who are realizing success in the market today with Color Kinetics' technology and intellectual property.
Newly signed partners include:.
* Cepia, LLC - a manufacturer of consumer products who will license Chromacore to offer a line of illuminated pillows and plush toys.
* Lighting and Electronics - a manufacturer of entertainment and architectural lighting who will apply iColor MR g2 and power/data modules (PDMs) for a custom designed theatrical fixture.
Renewed agreements include:.
* Crystal Fountains - a provider of water feature solutions who will incorporate Color Kinetics' Digital Light Engines (DLEs) and PDMs into its forthcoming line of color-changing fountain products.
* Main Light Industries - an entertainment lighting manufacturer whose Chromasic-enabled Soft-LED drapery continues to find success in the touring and event production markets.
* Zumtobel Staff Lighting an architectural lighting manufacturer who will continue to incorporate Color Kinetics' DLEs in its line of architectural, color-changing fixtures for the North American market.
"The continued strides of our OEM and Licensing business reflect the value it offers to both new and existing partners, encompassing the core expertise, technologies, intellectual property and support required to bring their unique products to market," said Bill Sims, President and CEO, Color Kinetics.
"In particular, the renewals speak to the tangible success that our program delivers for partners".
"We have devoted significant sales and development resources to expand our options for third parties, making Color Kinetics' technology readily adaptable to diverse markets and applications".
Companies align with Color Kinetics in several ways, including the purchase of DLEs and other subsystems and components for turnkey integration into their own product lines, and by licensing the company's core technologies and corresponding issued patents.
Color Kinetics' partners capitalize on the fast-growing market opportunities for intelligent solid-state lighting by leveraging the company's wealth of knowledge derived from a multi-million dollar Rand D program, hundreds of thousands of lighting devices shipped, and more than 10,000 lighting installations worldwide.
The company's OEM and Lighting business spans both color and white LED technology, and reaches diverse markets including architectural and entertainment lighting, gaming, aerospace, pool, spa, signage, and consumer products, among others.
