It is claimed that Glenigan currently know of all UK projects above a GBP250k value and this feature will offer exhibitors another reason not to miss Interbuild in 2007.
CAB members and non-members are invited to exhibit in the zone as this year there is more stand space allocated.
It is hoped that several major UK systems companies would be attending in 2007.
To discuss the trends in the commercial glazing market the CAB were very pleased that Robert Palmer of Palmer Market Research had agreed to attend and offer some of his recent market analysis in the fenestration sector.
The size of the UK fenestration market is quoted at GBP2.7 billion with aluminium being the predominant material in use.
One of the biggest sector increases was that of Shopfronts which is now quoted as a GBP400 million market, one of the reasons for this huge increase was the adoption of automatic door equipment.
Other materials such as softwood, hardwood and steel have all been in decline.
Another increase in the sector has been in the composite timber and aluminium window and this is growing rapidly particularly in the education sector.
Overall the fenestration sector is increasing thanks to a great deal of government investment in infrastructure over the last few years.
