Justin Ratcliffe commented to the audience: "As a trade association of 107 members CAB is actively involved in a number of national sustainability projects notably with the building Research establishment many of you will be aware of BREAAM and the Green Guide projects but less aware of initiatives such as the EU Green-IT Club which looks at Eco-Labelling of construction products and also the issue of responsible sourcing of construction materials which covers the entire life span form extraction to end of life.

We should remember that processing scrap aluminium saves 95% of the energy needed to produce the primary product and also saves 95% of the greenhouse emissions".

Sandi Toksvig brought the evening to a close by wishing the 7 winning Practices good luck in the European Final to be held in Paris in November 2007.
