Palmer Report shows aluminium sales growth
Despite gloomy forecast for construction industry, aluminium continues to gain momentum as the specifiers choice for new and refurbishment projects.
"CAB continues to focus on communicating aluminium's recycling and sustainability messages to the industry and there is clear evidence that this work is now paying off for our members who have seen record levels of sales in the sector during 2007.
This year the Aluminium Construction Zone, the work of an exciting initiative between CAB and Emap, will cover an area five times the previous size which represents the largest concentration of exhibitors across the aluminium in building supply chain for some 15-20 years.
This expansion is entirely consistent with the resurgence in the market over the last couple of years.
"CAB will be working hard at the exhibition to continue to educate specifiers and users of Aluminium that the material can be the number one choice for many building elements.
Its use is an investment, not only in insulation terms but in life expectancy and value in the material when the useful life of the product has been reached.
The future outlook for aluminium is excellent with more being recycled than ever before.
Added to this is the exceptionally high performance of thermal breaks being incorporated into the material".
"We look forward to welcoming anyone visiting the exhibition to the CAB stand at the centre of the 'Aluminium Construction Zone' in Hall 4 and believe they will take away some of the enthusiasm and confidence that both our members and ourselves have regarding the future use of aluminium in construction.".
