CAB Aluminium in Renovation Awards
The Council for Aluminium in Building - CAB - is to hold their second UK Aluminium in Renovation Awards this year which carries a first prize of GBP5,000.
The winners of the various UK categories will then be put forward for the prestigious European Aluminium in Renovation Awards where the UK will compete with seven other European nations for the coveted European award.
Entries that show aluminium being used in applications which utilise the material's unique qualities will score highly with the judges.
Aluminium is used extensively in new build nowadays, but its use in refurbishment is not always obvious and these Awards set out to show specifiers where aluminium's properties have helped create a unique solution.
The UK panel of judges is headed up by Professor Michael Stacey of Michael Stacey Architects, who will be supported by Max Fordham OBE of Max Fordham and Partners and Rod McAllister of Sheppard Robson.
The Awards Dinner is to be held at the National Motorcycle Museum in Birmingham on Thursday the 24th of Septemeber.
Each qualified entry from an Architect or Building Engineer will be offered one complementary invitation to the event.
The call for entries is now open and the application form can be found on the CAB website or by phoning the CAB offices.
