Multi-scroll range of R410A air-cooled
chillers
Coolmation, UK's exclusive distributor for Rhoss range of chillers, launch the new Y Power scroll series of air cooled chillers.
Available in cooling capacities from 368kW to 523kW, Y Power chillers have been specifically developed to run on the environmentally-friendly refrigerant R410a and feature multi-scroll compressors to offer superior energy efficiency performance at part load Rhoss Y Power chillers from Coolmation are Eurovent approved and designed to run on the efficient, ozone-benign R410a refrigerant charge

Air cooled chillers for industry and process
Coolmation has introduced the new air-cooled series of low energy Powercool chillers (76.5kW up to 182 kW cooling capacities) for industrial and process cooling applications.
Energy efficient chillers
Coolmation, exclusive UK distributor for the low energy Rhoss Powercool range of chillers, advise how works engineers can best select an energy efficient chiller.
Y Power chillers incorporate five or six scroll compressors in each chiller to provide five or six capacity steps with high efficiency at partial loads.
The chillers also feature a specially designed and constructed stainless steel plate evaporator to minimise counter flow and pressure drops.
This increases the efficiency of evaporation and helps reduce energy consumption pro rata.

mCERTs Approval For ABB Continuous Gas Analysers
The range of Continuous Gas Analysers and systems manufactured and marketed by ABB Limited has recently been certified to the latest mCERTs standards.
Additional Y Power energy efficiency features include microprocessor control, improved condenser fin and tube design and the use of electronic expansion valves.
The onboard-control system manages efficient chiller operation and is set up for easy connection with MODBUS RTU and LON BMS systems.
The special condenser fin formation and tube geometry creates considerably better heat transfer and helps cut the air pressure drop over the coil, so reducing Y Power fan motor size and energy consumption.
Finally, electronic expansion valves help achieve precise control of the R410a refrigerant mass flow.
As the pressure drop across these valves is significantly less than a mechanical one, the system can operate at lower condensing pressures and generate significant reductions in compressor power input.
Coolmation can supply Y Power chillers with a full range of factory fitted accessories, including water circulating pumps and buffer tanks.
Chillers are also available in standard, silenced and soundproofed versions and as reversible heat pumps.
Y Power chillers have been developed by Rhoss as a result of a unique partnership between the manufacturer and the respected University of Udine.
The performance of this range is verifiable by ECA approved testing carried out in the Eurovent certified Rhoss Laboratory - one of only two facilities in Europe, capable of operating chillers at their full capacity up to 1500kW.
Rhoss is one of Italy's largest manufacturers of water chillers, ranging in capacities from 3kW to 1500kW, and also produces a comprehensive selection of associated cooling and airside equipment.
All Rhoss spa products comply fully with the latest European legislation and standards.
All Coolmation equipment available to UK customers is designed for high reliability and manufactured to internationally recognised quality standards.
With offices in Lancashire, Leicestershire, Bedfordshire, Bristol and a Head Office in Ringwood, Hampshire, Coolmation operates nationwide in chiller sales and installation, service, hire and technical support.
