Computerlinks for affordable 'digital plumbing'
Computerlinks will be launching its new SCNET structured home cabling solution and showcasing the latest solutions for home automation at Interbuild.
Computerlinks, a leading distributor of multimedia networking solutions and home automation systems will be launching its new SCNET structured home cabling solution and showcasing the latest solutions for home automation at Interbuild 2007(stand S55, hall 3/3A) at the NEC, Birmingham from 28th October to 1st November 2007.
The SCNET integrated cabling system has been developed to provide a highly cost-effective entry level 'digital plumbing' solution for new build homes ranging from GBP200,000 upwards.
It allows home owners to have a flexible network in place to support multimedia, gaming, telephones, security systems, mood lighting and climate control, eliminating the need for additional wiring and broadband cabling.
Computerlinks is specifically targeting developers, architects, designers and specifiers with digital plumbing products and solutions that can be specified during the design stages of new homes.
Computerlinks will also be previewing an affordable new 'Home Automation' building control system, which will provide application developers and specifiers with a customisable management solution for home automation networks.
John Turner, head of multimedia networking at Computerlinks, comments, Broadband is opening new possibilities for today's property developers.
Increasingly more aware of the benefits of digital technologies, today's informed homeowner recognises and aspires to having an "Automated" or "Smart Home" system in their new home.
By specifying our SCNET integrated cable management system in the home at the planning stage, homeowners are able to immediately enjoy the benefits of a fully networked home within their own specified budget, while developers are able to benefit from the premium product they are selling.
Typical installation cost for a 2 bedroom flat range from GBP1000 to GBP2500 for a 4 bedroom house.
"With the introduction later this year of our new 'Home Automation' control system, which will work alongside the SCNET integrated cabling system and other Computerlinks products, the Home Automation concept can be fully realised by architects and developers".
The products on display on stand S55, hall 3/3A will include: SCNET home cabling solutions for homebuilders: a straightforward cabling solution for the homebuilder that leaves the new home ready and able to deliver new technologies at the homeowner's discretion.
A complete system of Category 5E, COAX cables and central hub provide a simple low cost infrastructure for Network, SKY/Freeview/Media distribution, CCTV, mood lighting and climate control, with an option to add multi-room audio.
Microsoft VISTA based home media centres from Clever Technologies, which centrally serve movies; music, photos and recorded TV around the networked home from fully secure servers.
Computerlinks will be welcoming feedback on its new 'Home Automation' control system from developers, specifiers and building professionals and will be offering incentives to those who visit the stand and complete their product development survey.
