Colt Caloris breaks new ground
Colt International has broken new ground by installing a Colt Caloris Water and Refrigerant Flow system connected to a Ground Source Heat Pump in Holland.

Colt International is providing a complete smoke control package, including car park ventilation and smoke extraction for large urban regeneration development in Brentford by Barratt West London.
A borehole ring main system was extended across the business park to connect all the buildings.
Two 100m deep boreholes were then dug at regular intervals to pump up and inject ground water, one for storage of cooler water and one for storage of warmer water.
This borehole system is connected to a series of 22 Colt Caloris WRF heat pumps via a heat exchanger.
The cooler water can be used for cooling in summer and the warmer water for heating in winter.
"This configuration of Colt Caloris WRF units has achieved significant energy savings and a reduction of CO emissions".
"Decentralised control allows occupants to regulate the temperatures of the individual rooms, using energy that is virtually free," explained Graham Hazell, senior consultant for Colt Caloris sales in the UK.
"The savings are even greater than in a conventional Colt Caloris installation, where local heat pump units are connected to a water loop and a central external heat pump".
"In this instance, the energy input required is nearly half that of such a conventional installation in heating mode, and virtually zero in cooling mode'".
Colt Caloris WRF systems are popular throughout Europe because the refrigerant charge is minimal and local to the unit, so there is no refrigerant pipework around the building.
Colt is already experiencing increased demand in the UK, and anticipates a further boost once the F-Gas regulations are implemented.
