In an early day motion, MP Jeff Ennis said: "This House congratulates Doncaster Council, Mayor Martin Winter, the Stadium Management Company and the main contractors Carillion on completing the magnificent new Keepmoat Stadium on schedule and under budget".
Carillion's regional civil engineering and building businesses delivered the project which includes three full size, natural grass pitches, eight artificial pitches for five-a-side football, a full size artificial pitch which can be sub-divided into three, seven-a-side pitches, track and field facilities, a 500 seat mini stand and 1,000 space car park.
The iconic bowl-shaped stadium is set in landscaped grounds and will provide a number of provide of educational and community uses.
The complex is home to Doncaster Rovers, Doncaster Lakers, Doncaster Belles and Doncaster Athletics Club.
