Support services and construction company Carillion has been congratulated in the House of Commons after building a state of the art stadium in Doncaster on time and under budget.
The contracts involve the construction of 191 townhouses, manufacture and supply of concrete blocks for the marine quay wall as well as Core Loc blocks for the offshore reef.
The biggest contract - worth GBP32.2m, is scheduled to start shortly, while the second contract, worth GBP4.2m is for the manufacture and supply of 3,200 concrete blocks for the Marina quay wall.
The third contact is for the manufacture and supply of 18,786 Core Loc units for the reef construction which is worth GBP5.5m.
When completed, The Wave, Muscat will include a stylish residential and commercial development with related infrastructure facilities stretching along over 6km of natural beach with a string of man-made lakes and islands.
David Skinner, regional manager of Carillion Alawi said: "Carillion Alawi is delighted to have been awarded such a prestigious contract which will help to create an impressive environment for residents to enjoy.
