The contract includes: network management, safety inspections, cyclic and routine maintenance, accident and emergency response, third party claims and winter maintenance on the M40 working day and night.
Richard Ladd, Maintenance Director for Carillion Roads said: "Carillion is delighted to have its contract enhanced and extended on the M40 for such a significant amount of time.
"This will enable us to invest and continue to improve the service for road users.
