Reed Roofing (Midlands), part of the Copal Group lands GBP750,000 deal to provide a full roofing package for a major regeneration project in Nuneaton.

Reed Roofing (Midlands) Limited is to roof 226 bungalows and town houses plus seven retail units in Camp Hill village centre The contract is the second phase of the project, Reed Roofing having already completed Phase One which involved roofing 100 properties

The contract is with the developer, Lovell Partnerships Limited.

"This is a big project, but that has not stopped it being incredibly environmentally sympathetic," said Rob Keen, Managing Director of Reed Roofing, based in Burntwood, Staffordshire.

"The roofing is very high specification, but it is noteworthy in that it is of clay interlocking tiles - it is unusual to have a natural product produced in Britain for a construction project such as this".

The tiles are Sandtoft 20/20, produced in Humberside.

"As well as the tiling package we will also be installing single ply membranes to the projecting dormers and flat roof areas".

"The lead flashings complete the total package," said Rob.

"It's a job we're looking forward to - we have built good relationships with the local community which is always a bonus when the project is going to last for three-and-a-half years." Reed Roofing is part of the Copal Group.

Founded in Warrington, Cheshire in 1996, Copal Group has quickly built an enviable reputation for quality workmanship, service and excellent value for money operating mainly within the new-build housing market.

The group has since expanded beyond its North West heartland and now has operating branches covering the East and West Midlands and the northern Home Counties.

Copal's varied services range from traditional roof coverings including natural and artificial slating, clay and concrete pantiles, clay and concrete plain tiles and all associated sheet leadwork and flashings to more modern innovative single ply systems, aluminium flashings, Mastic asphalting and high performance built-up felt systems.

As members of the National Federation of Roofing Contractors Copal's customers can rest assured that all installations meet the highest possible standards.
