David McLean Group has worked in partnership with the international people development organisation Prosell Learning .
Their ProcoachTM model, previously used in the sales, retail and customer service, has been tailored to clearly match the challenging construction environment.
The pilot programme was used to rigorously test and evaluate this innovative process and has helped to adapt it to work positively in the construction sector, as Paul Renshaw HR director at David McLean Group explains: "The construction industry has unfortunately acquired a hire and fire reputation for itself, especially when dealing with under performing colleagues".
"At David McLean, we are working hard to understand why employees were under performing and what we could do to help them achieve more and gain greater job satisfaction".
Alex Martin, David McLean Group's learning and development manager is very keen to capitalise on this great start and has committed to drive the programme across the rest of the business "Procoach's 'hands on, hands off' approach,' coupled with our employees' determination has added to the success of the pilot".
"We have been so impressed with the positive reaction, we are planning to roll out the programme to the senior management teams across the business during the next year".
