The new schools are fitted out internally to meet stringent educational and building regulatory requirements in terms of acoustics, heating and ventilation, and security while the refurbished schools have had their existing facilities enhanced.
David Smith St Ives Limited worked in conjunction with the project architects, Rock Townsend and Ellis Williams, to produce a rationalised approach to the doorset specification that would ensure a cost efficient, high performance solution for each of the locations.
Over 2,500 doorsets have been produced, including softwood and hardwood frame options, with the doors being a selection of heavy and severe duty core flush doors, with some offering vision panels.
