Daikin Airconditioning UK 's state-of-the-art VRV heat recovery air conditioning system has been specified at the recently completed Wildwood Triangle office development

Wildwood Triangle office development is an GBP8 million project billed as 'the best office address in Worcester', which provides over 40,000 sq ft of much needed high grade office accommodation to the city The striking complex, which includes five self contained, two-storey office blocks offering between 1,800 and 7,800 sq ft per suite of lettable space, is thought to be the area's largest speculative office development to date

Specified by project consultants Hoare Lea and designed in association with Nottingham-based installers Direct Cooling Systems , each building features precise climate control from Daikin's VRV heat recovery system, one of the most innovative and energy efficient solutions on the market.

A Hoare Lea spokesperson said: "Daikin VRV equipment was selected for this high class office development because it offers considerable energy efficiency and ease of installation".

"This, combined with a huge product range and control options, plus a competitive price, meant it was ideal for this application".

"Daikin were also selected as a result of their class leading reliability, outstanding support and ability to react to queries and design changes quickly and competently".

Five complete VRV systems are linked to 99 Daikin concealed ceiling ducted indoor fan coil units, which are mounted in false ceiling voids throughout the open plan and mixed layout offices.

The indoor fan coil units, with both heating and cooling capabilities, maintain indoor temperatures at 22oC +/- 2oC throughout the year, ensuring the optimum working environment to maximise productivity of employees and the comfort of customers.

The VRV system also comprises two independent split air conditioning systems, which supply cooling only to the communications room.

To complement this, heat reclaim ventilation is provided by 17 Daikin VAM units, which deliver tempered fresh air and modulate the temperature and humidity of incoming fresh air in order to match indoor conditions.

This reduces the cooling and heating loads on the air conditioning system, increasing its efficiency.

For maximum end-user control, the complete system is controlled by a Daikin Intelligent Controller, housed in the maintenance staff areas and linked to remote room temperature controllers within the office areas.
