Refurbishment of farmhouse and holiday cottages

A D and C Property Services product story
Edited by the Buildingtalk editorial team Jan 31, 2008

D and C Property Services just completing refurbishment of Crossways Farmhouse and Holiday Cottages near Atherington in North Devon.

The project involved total refurbishment of the main Farmhouse, together with an extension and refurbishment of an adjacent barn to accommodate two holiday letting units.

The main Farmhouse has 5 bedrooms, 3 receptions, 3 bathrooms, utility room, downstairs cloakroom and conservatory type porch.

The barn has been converted into two, 3 bedroom holiday cottages.

The farmhouse has been sympathetically restored and where appropriate natural lime mortars supplied by Mike Wye and Associates have been used.

Most of the natural stone used has been sourced from very old local quarries to remain in keeping with the stone already used in the property.

This development is one of several recently completed by D and C Property Services who specialise in renovations using lime and cob.
