DEKS, who distribute Dektite flashings and Selkirk flues and chimneys, has announced its sponsorship of Bristol Rugby player, Neil Brew.

The company is part of the New Zealand building products group, Skellerup, so it made sense to choose Maori All Black Neil, one of three New Zealand players to be signed by Bristol this year Neil visited DEKS to officially open their extended new office and warehouse premises

He met with general manager David Jones and his team and handed over a signed Bristol Rugby shirt.

David Jones said: "As an integral part of the Bristol community it is important to us to support local organisations.

Our parent company is based in New Zealand so choosing Neil seemed to be a good fit.

We enjoyed meeting him and really appreciated the time he took out of his busy training regime to come and visit us.

"I haven't spoken to Neil since the New Zealand team was knocked out of the World Cup, but I am sure he's got over the disappointment of it now and like the rest of us is wishing his Bristol team mate Mark Regan all the best for this weekend's final".

DEKS Distribution moved to the Gordano 19 industrial estate from Yate two years ago.

Since then the business has gone from strength to strength, with turnover this year up by almost 60%.

In February DEKS doubled its office and warehousing space to meet the increased demand for the DEKS range of products including solar flashings and to accommodate extensive stock of Selkirk chimney and flue items following DEKS' appointment by the Selkirk Canada corporation last year to be the company's sole distributor of flues and chimneys for the domestic market in the UK.
