The DEHNbloc Maxi family of lightning current arresters are single-pole devices that are ideally suited to use in exposed locations or in harsh industrial environments.

The DEHNbloc Maxi family of lightning current arresters from Dehn UK are single-pole devices that are ideally suited to use in exposed locations or in harsh industrial environments These new protection devices are compatible with Dehn's existing DEHNguard Red/Line surge arresters, and offer a flexible surge-protection solution independent of cable length and without the need for additional decoupling coils

DEHNbloc Maxi devices use Dehn's patented technologies of encapsulated creepage discharge spark gaps for extra protection and RADAX-Flow for a high follow current limitation.

As a result, there is no need for installers to worry about safety distances from busbars or equipment.

This arrangement also eliminates the risk of tripped backup fuses resulting from the lack of selectivity between the protective device and any overcurrent protection systems that may be in place, resulting in the highest possible system availability.

For indicating the presence of phase voltages and readiness for operation on site, DEHNbloc Maxi type DBM 1 255 L provides integrated operating voltage indication.

Optional DEHNsignal remote signalling modules can be used to indicate the units' readiness for operation and the presence of operating voltage to a supervisory control system.

DEHNbloc Maxi devices incorporate double terminals which are suitable for all types of conductors, allowing serial connection of the surge-protection devices in a space- and cost-saving way, as preferred by IEC standard 60364-5-53 for nominal currents of up to 125 A.

The multifunction terminal is suitable for simultaneous connection of conductors and busbars, allowing an easy connection to other DIN rail mounted devices.
