DEHNconductor achieves high level of
protection
DEHNconductor system from Dehn UK is designed to maintain the critical separation distance which is a key parameter in the planning and installation of lightning protection systems.
The DEHNconductor system from Dehn UK is a range of components designed to maintain the critical separation distance which is a key parameter in the planning and installation of lightning protection systems Maintaining the separation distance, which is determined by calculations specified in the new EN62305-3 standard, is essential to prevent dangerous flashovers between external lightning protection systems and internal conductive elements such as electrical wiring, conduits and equipment

The DEHNbloc Maxi family of lightning current arresters are single-pole devices that are ideally suited to use in exposed locations or in harsh industrial environments.
Surge arrester early warning of potential failure
New surge-protection device from Dehn UK incorporates a technique known as pro-active thermo control to give an early warning of potential failures.
The new system is particularly suited to installations where it is important to ensure that there is no possibility of partial lightning currents entering buildings which may contain sensitive electronic equipment, such as hospitals, industrial plants or rooftop structures containing heating or air-conditioning controls.
DEHNconductor achieves its high level of protection by the use of an innovative conductor development known as HVI.
To prevent flashovers, the new conductor has a special external coating that enables it to 'direct' high lightning impulse voltages to a reference potential by linking it to the building's equipotential bonding structure.
The HVI conductor is based on a coaxial structure with an outer diameter of 20 mm, and consists of a 19 mm2 copper wire, a thick high-voltage resistant insulation and a special external weather-resistant coating.
Comprehensive tests have shown that the HVI conductor can achieve an equivalent separation distance of 0.75 m (in air) because of its high voltage resistance, allowing a significant increase in cable lengths.
A number of different HVI conductor configurations are available, along with accessories including holders, terminal plates and insulating pipes.
