Designplan Rounds Off Weatherproof Downlight Range
Designplan Lighting has broadened its range of weather and vandal resistant architectural downlights with the launch of its FSRDL (Fully Sealed Round DownLight) range and SP1 and SP2 fittings.
Users, who are mostly Civic Centre staff and visitors, no longer feel vulnerable in the dark, while the effective lighting and CCTV cameras provide a powerful deterrent to any potential miscreants.
Manufactured with a zinc coated steel body finished in chemical and abrasion resistant white polyester powder coat, Parkalux T5 fittings are IP55 rated against the ingress of water and dust and IK10++ rated for impact resistance.
Resistant to vandal attack, the clear patterned polycarbonate diffuser is held against a gasket by three vandal resistant screws.
The diffuser is patterned on the inside to ease cleaning while a high quality aluminium reflector helps to maximise light output.
The fitting's high frequency control gear is mounted on a removable tray with a plug and socket fuse connector block for ease of installation.
Side entry lamp holders also help to prevent accidental fall out of lamps when relamping.
These latest improvements to the Civic Centre car park are part of Poole Borough Council's ongoing refurbishment plan designed to provide a secure environment throughout the town and all its car parks.
