Poole Plumps For Parkalux
Poole Borough Council has used Designplan's ultra-durable T5 Parkalux fittings among a package of measures designed to dramatically improve the ambience of its Civic Centre car park.
Manufactured with a black painted cast aluminium body and a polycarbonate lighting control lens, this robust vandal and weather resistant fitting brings style and durability to the exterior wall lighting market.
The Pantheon's advanced control lens combines the strength of UV stabilised polycarbonate with very effective light control.
In fact, the lens is so effective that the Pantheon can be used to increase spacing between fittings while achieving an improved uniformity of light, thus reducing capital, running and maintenance costs at a stroke.
The lens also minimises light pollution and adds distinctive character to the Pantheon's design.
Another unique feature of the Pantheon is the 'Half Night Dimming' option designed to further address rising concerns about light pollution and energy usage.
Its control gear can be programmed to dim down by 50% at a specific time during the night, significantly reducing energy consumption and responding to environmental conditions.
Specifically designed for use with modern lamps, including 70wSon, 50wSon, 70wCDMT, 55w, 38w, 28w 2D and 42w PLT, the Pantheon is IP65 rated for ingress protection and IK 10++ for impact resistance.
Compact fluorescent control gear is mounted on a hinged/removable tray and like virtually all Designplan fittings, the model is provided with a fused connector block allowing easy installation and maintenance.
Simple access for re-lamping is from the front after releasing and hinging the diffuser down.
