Without the need for gas, Dewalt's new cordless finish nailer, promises to meet all user needs without the hassle of alternative cordless units Capable of driving more than three, two inch nails in to oak per second, this new unit delivers performance greater to equivalent cordless gas powered units

Offering users far cheaper costs per fixing combined with the ability to drive up to 800 nails per battery, these new units offer unsurpassed cordless performance.

Unlike other cordless units, the new Dewalt nailer can be used in either bump or sequential modes, selected quickly and easily via a simple on board switch.

The new unit also features headlights to illuminate the working area.

These headlights also double as a warning light, indicating both low battery and jams.

For safety the new nailer also incorporates a contact trip lock for safe transportation of the unit when not in use.

Using the same system as Dewalt's corded nailers, this new cordless unit is also very easy to load.

With the option of using either the 'lock and draw' or 'cock and load system', the magazine can be re-filled in seconds.

The nail depth can also be quickly adjusted using a simple easy to access dial with 6 indexed pre-set depths.

The 18 volt unit will be available in either a bare unit form (DC618KN) or with two 2.4Ah NiCd batteries and a charger (DC618KA) from September 2004.

Both units take 20 degree 16Ga nails from 32 to 63mm.
