With the quality and size of tile available on the market today it is imperative that a tile saw is very accurate as these tiles can be extremely expensive to replace.
With this in mind the Dewalt ACCU-TRAC rail system delivers this with a 450mm cut accurate to 0.8mm.
The guide rail is made of stainless steel and attached to the frame of the saw to ensure accurate cuts and alleviate the need for daily calibration.

Cutting edge design
The new DW718 from Dewalt is the most accurate mitre saw available with a new precise mitre and bevel system.
The stainless steel runners are also rust proof providing a smooth travel and strength throughout the life of the machine.
The rails also have micro-fine tuning screws for quick and easy vertical and horizontal adjustment.
There is a cut indicator on the table for easy line up of cuts from blade to fence.
The sliding carriage has a sealed bearing system which produces precise movement and requires no lubrication.
The D24000 has a built in water pump which directs water through dual water nozzles which can be adjusted to spray directly on to the point of cut limiting mist and dust from the blade.
The detachable side and rear water trays capture the water and direct it straight back into the base pan of the machine to be re-circulated by the pump.
The capacity of this saw is unrivalled in its class.
The cantilevering rails system allows the carriage extra travel for increased capacity allowing tiles of up to 610mm to be rip cut and 450mm on a mitre.
Depth of cut is 95mm allowing other building materials to be cut such as granite, slate, limestone, marble, paving slabs and mono blocks.
The head can also be bevelled and locked on at any angle between 0 and 45 degrees.
The saw also has a plunge facility allowing plunge cuts in tiles for electrical outlets.
Weighing in at only 32kg the D24000 is extremely portable for a machine of its cutting capacity.
The machine and attachments are easily transported onto the jobsite with the minimal of fuss.
The machine comes standard with a porcelain blade which can be used to cut a variety of materials including tiles and other building materials.
Also available, as an extra, is the ceramic tile cutting blade (available October) and the D240001 leg stand.
The D24000 will be available from all Dewalt distributors from September 2005.
