Both units are extremely compact (166mm length),allowing access to confined spaces such as kitchen units and working on machinery but are exceptionally powerful: the DW056N delivers up to 125Nm of sustained torque whereas the DW057N delivers up to an amazing 180Nm.
The units are very similar in design with the main difference being in the output drive.
The DW056 has a 6.35mm internal hex fitting which accepts most hex fitting bits.
The Dw057N has a 1/2" square drive which accepts all 1/2" sockets.
Both machines have a high performance fan cooled motor, all metal gearing and a magnesium gear housing ensuring extra durability.
For added control there is a variable speed switch with reverse and an electric brake.
For added comfort there is a rubber coated grip to help reduce vibration and user fatigue.
The DW056N is ideal for a variety of fastenings such as self tapping screws for assembling air conditioning ducting, self drilling screws for metal cladding, frame fixings for window fitters and concrete screws.
The DW057N is suitable for more heavy work such as removing and fastening wheel nuts, fastening anchor fixings for heavy machinery and fittings as well as coach screws for timber frames.
The DW056N and DW057N will be available from all Dewalt distributors during August 2005.
