Launch of the new D25980 30kg pavement breaker - boasts the lowest vibration level in its class.

Over the last 5 years DEWALT has completely redesigned its hammer range with three points in mind: 1

Safety/Comfort/Low Vibration.

2.

Durability.

3.

Performance.

The launch of the new D25980 30kg pavement breaker is testament to this philosophy.

It boasts the lowest vibration level in its class, at only 6.6m/s (EN60745) offering the end user an EAV of an incredible 1 hour 9 minutes and a staggering 4 hours 35 minutes to ELV which is more than double that of the some competitive units.

The low vibration is delivered through 3 systems.

The first is the AVC (Active Vibration Control) which is a balancing mass that neutralises the vibration produced in the hammer mechanism.

The second is the suspended handle system.

The handle connection rod is mounted on 4 rubber suspensions on each side.

This system helps to further absorb the vibration created by the mechanism without losing control of the breaker.

The third is the rubber coated handles which further reduces the vibration.

The D25980 not only has low vibration but packs a punch as well.

It is powered by a 2000 watt motor which helps to deliver an earth shattering 68 joules of impact energy through the large oversized 2.2kg ram.

To add to this the D25980 has a heavy duty electronics module which supplies constant power under load which in turn delivers consistent high performance.

These breakers are often used in the harshest condition and therefore need to be extremely durable.

The D25980 has 3 'O' rings at the front end which prevents dust ingress into the hammer mechanism which is a common cause of failure in these machines.

The second system is to protect the mechanism from rebound which can eventually wear parts inside.

DEWALT has included a vibration/rebound damper between the housing and the beatpiece which reduces the rebound and prevents any unwanted harm to key components.

To sum up the D25980 offers not only the lowest vibration but also class leading performance which further reduces the vibration exposure time to the end user.

There will be 2 models available: D25980 breaker only and the D25980K which comes with the innovative trolley, D259801.

The D259801 has special bushes on the tool holders to prevent the chisels slipping out while transporting.

It has an enlarged base so can double up as a trolley to carry bricks, blocks and other building materials.

There is an adjustable strap which allows the breaker to be attached with or without the chisels.

It also has pneumatic tyres and a quick release cable holder.

Lastly there are angled back supporting tubes that allow the trolley to be dragged on to a van/pick-up very easily.
