Distribution of heavy goods by rail
Return to the distribution of heavy goods by rail rather than road - a trend which has some major implications for both the construction sector and the property market in Scotland.
Mr Verschueren has provided a number of established surveying practices in the west of Scotland with building surveying expertise over recent years, whilst Alan Oliver has worked for several years with property companies and has most recently been offering general management consultancy services to various businesses.
Two other senior appointments to the west of Scotland department are chartered building surveyors Kenny McDonald, joining from Doig and Smith, and Fiona Rogerson, who most recently worked with Thomas and Adamson, while Jim Moir, a long-term building surveyor with DM Hall, fulfils an equivalent role within the east of Scotland department.
Andrew McFarlane, partner in DM Hall, and a specialist in building surveying, said, "These appointments, representing a considerable investment in our building surveying department, enhance our capability to provide a range of locally based services nationwide and place building surveying at the centre of DM Hall's portfolio of property services".
This investment in its building surveying department means that DM Hall is now ideally placed to offer a comprehensive building surveying service to corporate and residential clients throughout the length and breadth of Scotland.
