DM Hall Partner John Dewar, who will run the new office base, said: "David Martin is a thoroughly well-known and recognised specialist in his field.
Since he has been aiming to retire, and was therefore willing to sell, it was the perfect juncture for our firm to acquire his business; and as part of the incorporation of Johnston Surveys within DM Hall LLP, he will be staying on for a time on a consultancy basis to oversee the smooth transition of the business into the firm".
He added: "The firm already had good representation in the area through our national operation, but this acquisition will act as a catalyst for the development of a truly local service across all of our core valuation and surveying services: it will bring our broad range of inter-related skills 'under one roof' and give our new and existing clients in north-east Fife a truly first class array of services to call upon".
