Dimplex teams up with JCB

JCB has appointed Dimplex as exclusive licensee for heating products.

The first JCB product to be launched is a robust portable fan heater with the distinctive yellow and black livery that makes JCB products instantly recognisable worldwide.

The yellow is also classed as a safety colour in the working environment.

Dimplex was selected by JCB following a rigorous evaluation process.

Matthew Conrad, director and general manager of JCB consumer products, said, "At JCB we want licensees who demonstrate not only innovation but also a thorough and detailed approach in everything they do from product design to safety and we have very exacting criteria which must be met.

Available now, the new JCB-branded fan heater has a 3kW loading with steel front and rear fascia, extra long cable and chunky cool touch handles, making it ideal for workshop and garage use.

It has the backing of a three year guarantee and is designed to retail for GBP39.99.

Further products are currently in development with a full range planned for 2008.
