Dimplex recognises excellent heat pump
installers
Dimplex has showcased excellence among its Approved Heat Pump Installer Partners with its second annual Heat Pump Awards Ceremony which took place during their annual installer conference.
Installers were honoured in three categories; Installer of the Year, Installation of the Year (Domestic) and Installation of the Year (Non-Domestic) Due to the high quality of the many entries, the short list that was drawn up was comparatively long, with Dimplex having to go for a joint first in the Non-Domestic category

The Installer of the Year award went to Earth Energy of Falmouth, Cornwall.
The company carries out a wide variety of heat pump installations both domestic and non-domestic, throughout the country, including many public sector projects, which have been able to receive grant funding from the government's Low Carbon Buildings Programme Phase 2.
The company's Dr Robin Curtis has been instrumental in promoting ground source heating and cooling technology for many years, while managing director Brian Kennelly is active in the Ground Source Heat Pump Association to drive forward the industry as a whole.

Increased grants for Dimplex heat pumps
Dimplex welcome news that grants of up to 50% are now available to the public sector for the installation of microgeneration technologies under the Low Carbon Buildings Programme Phase 2.
In the Domestic Installation of the Year category, Cardiff-based WDS Environmental won with Ladderstile Ride, a spectacular self build in London's Richmond Park, created by self-builders whose previous 'Curved House' has featured on Grand Designs.
Their new U-shaped house incorporates living accommodation and stables in the two wings, with a central swimming pool connecting them.
WDS Environmental provided two SI 16 KMS heat pumps to heat and passively cool the luxury house and stables via underfloor heating, plus a third heat pump to heat the swimming pool.
The Non-Domestic Installation of the Year award was jointly won by Shropshire-based Azure Natural Energy Systems and County Durham-based Revolution Power, for broadly similar projects.
Azure installed an SI 50 TE 50kW ground source heat pump in the Enterprise and Lifelong Learning Centre for Wrexham District Council, while Revolution Power also installed an SI 50 TE unit, in North Shields' Meadow Well Community Centre.
Both projects provide a community resource to benefit local residents and have a focus on sustainable design which will be used to promote the eco-friendly technologies incorporated.
Chris Davis, Dimplex head of renewables, comments: "The level of entries this year has been outstanding and shows how the market has developed in the last 12 months alone".
"The fact that we can also offer grants of up to 50% on selected heat pumps under LCBP2 has significantly increased our presence in the non - domestic sector."
