Dimplex launches ground source heat pump training

Dimplex launch three-day training course on ground source products following the success of its air source heat pump accredited installer training scheme.
The new course is open to experienced heating, plumbing and HVAC installers and gives comprehensive training on Dimplex ground source heat pumps, covering the fundamentals of the system, correct sizing and selection, ground collector installation, as well as full electrical and hydraulic installation considerations.
Chris Davis, head of renewables at Dimplex, says: "This training ensures our installers are better equipped to satisfy customer queries and demand in this profitable and growing sector of sustainable low carbon heating".
"More than 300 installers have already achieved air source accreditation and we expect this new ground source course to be just as popular." Delegates will complete the course with sufficient theoretical and practical information to competently specify and install Dimplex heat pumps for domestic and light commercial applications.
Attendees will be assessed throughout the course through written and practical exercises and must successfully complete an exam at the end to achieve accreditation.
They can then join the Dimplex accredited installer network and be approved to install the UK's widest range of ground source heat pumps.
Various locations are available throughout the country and the course includes full course material and refreshments.
On successful completion, delegates will receive a welcome pack including a GBP200 discount voucher off their first heat pump purchase and free commissioning on their first installation worth GBP350.
Dimplex accredited ground source heat pumps installers will also have exclusive access to full technical back up, marketing support, commissioning services and extended warranties.
