Low carbon heating solutions from Dimplex

For the hottest space and hot water heating, electric heating market leader Dimplex has the widest choice available, with over 400 products to meet the most demanding of applications, both domestic and commercial - where the emphasis is not only on low carbon solutions but also on energy efficiency, styling, ease of installation and low lifetime ownership costs.

Domestic products include installed radiators with sophisticated integrated and optional whole house control systems, stylish towel rails, water heating, heat pumps and solar hot water heating.

And for the commercial and industrial sectors, the range includes high output heat pumps, indoor and outdoor radiant heaters as well as an extensive range of air curtains that can be linked together to provide highly flexible environmental control as part of a building management system.

In addition to providing up to 4kW of useful heat for every 1kW used, heat pumps typically produce around 50% less carbon emissions than a gas heating system.

And now Dimplex is launching its new range of solar kits, which include a number of features - to make installation easier, quicker and more flexible for both the project manager and the installer.

The Dimplex DuoHeat radiator is at the leading edge of installed heating and is one of the last decade's most significant developments.

DuoHeat has been recognised by SAP as providing improved levels of energy efficiency.

Its high level of controllability assists in helping Part L and Code for Sustainable Homes compliance especially when used with solar thermal hot water and as part of a heating system alongside the Dimplex panel heaters, linked to a central control.

As well as providing comfort and low carbon solutions, the Dimplex range is styled for aesthetic appeal, particularly the towel rails and the award winning Opti-myst flame effect electric fires.

The towel rails add a practical and striking finish to any bathroom and come in trendy glass, chrome and white finishes.

In the current economic climate, energy and cost saving is just as crucial in commercial settings and air curtains can be an ideal solution.

Dimplex is currently working to make the energy efficiency offered by its air curtains official with a study on running cost savings conducted in conjunction with the Carbon Trust.

Although the work with the Carbon Trust is ongoing, an initial study shows that using air curtains can save up to 33 per cent of HVAC running costs, by keeping treated air inside and separate from the draughts and chills of the external environment.

Dimplex currently offers a wide range of surface and recessed air curtains suitable for doorways between three and six metres high.

Ranges include the CAB and DAB, the industrial IAB and the architectural ARC.

If renewable energy is a requirement, Dimplex also has an extensive range of heat pumps for commercial installations.

Ground source models with high outputs up to 130kW offer the ideal solution for non-domestic applications, while high temperature ground and air source units give water heating temperatures up to 70 degrees Celsius.

Enhanced controller software is available across the range.

For further industrial or outdoor applications, Dimplex offers a choice of quartz radiant heaters.

Only people and objects within the 'throw' are heated, not the ambient air, minimising running costs.

The Dimplex OPH wall-mounted patio heaters are the simple, safe and highly effective solution.

Unlike gas heaters, the OPH provides instant heat at the flick of a switch, is 100% efficient at point of use and there is no need to worry about bottled gas supplies.
