Dimplex renewables on show at PHEX

Dimplex introduces Smartrad, a range of wall-mounted fan convector radiators for use with heat pumps.

Dimplex have a wide range of renewable and conventional systems, at PHEX.

Offering a cost effective, responsive and energy efficient alternative to underfloor heating or conventional radiators, Smartrad is suitable for either new build or retrofitting.

It allows heat pump CoP to be optimised through its high performance with water temperatures as low as 40C.

The range also complements conventional boiler systems, allowing improved efficiencies due to lower water temperatures.

Smartrad is responsive, with a room warm-up time around five times faster than a conventional radiator with comparable output.

Integral electronic thermostatic control gives automatic control over fan speed output and room temperature stability, improving Smartrad's efficiency as well as giving individual room temperature control for user comfort.

Dimplex offers the UK's widest range of ground and air source heat pumps, many of which are suitable for single-phase installation.

With 30 years' experience of heat pumps in Europe and the UK, Dimplex can provide highly efficient renewable space and water heating solutions for nearly every type of project.

The new LAB M air source heat pump range, available in outputs from 7 - 11kW, gives a competitively-priced solution for smaller domestic installations, while ground source models are available up to 130kW output for the largest commercial applications.

A new high efficiency air source range offers CoPs of around 4.0, even at low ambient temperatures, giving performance comparable to ground source technology, without the requirement for ground collectors.

Dimplex will also be showing its solar thermal water heating system, available as a choice of pre-packaged kits for easy specification and purchase which contain everything required for a complete installation, including collectors, heat transfer system, full range of installation accessories and a choice of solar hot water The solar thermal kits now offer a number of improved design features to make installation easier and quicker, including an aluminium absorber sheet for optimum heat transfer combined with low weight, and double O-ring push fit pipe connections and flexible insulated stainless steel hoses, for rapid installation by a roofer.

For hot water installations where a renewable contribution is not required, unvented cylinders provide plentiful hot water and are ideal for installation in tandem with electric heating systems.

Dimplex's range of SCx unvented cylinders now includes commercial size cylinders, featuring direct and indirect models from 80 litres up to 4,000 litres.

There's an ideal solution for all types of domestic properties from bed- sits to six-bedroom multi-bathroom homes, as well as light commercial properties and more specialist installations such as leisure centres.

Dimplex also offers installers the opportunity to join its accredited installer scheme by completing one of its Logic Certification-approved training courses.

PHEX takes place at Old Trafford on 13-14 October and Stamford Bridge 23-24 November.
