Dobson White Boulcott announce the completion of the refurbishment programme on a Grade 2* listed building in Great James Street, central London.

Dobson White Boulcott Limited is pleased to announce the completion of the refurbishment programme on a Grade 2* listed building in Great James Street, central London DWB was commissioned as Cost Consultant on this GBP1million programme undertaken by a private client who wished to convert the five storey building from commercial use back to a private home

Andrew Gillson, Senior Cost Consultant at DWB, states: "This was a challenging and an extremely interesting project, both from historical perspective and the related cost control management - to convert a property back to its original use.

The property had been in commercial use since 1839 and it was imperative that the removal of all vestiges of this utilisation and the subsequent refurbishment retained the integrity of the original build while incorporating the various services to a standard expected in a modern, 21st century home.

We were able to work very closely with the contractor to monitor all expenditure as well as the programme".

Working in partnership with clients, designers and engineers, Dobson White Boulcott operates within most sectors: education, health, retail, commercial, residential, sports and community.
