DORMA At Duke Of York's Headquarters Refurbishment
Chelsea's King's Road £120m redevelopment of the Duke of York's headquarters.
CONTUR does not replace the existing comprehensive range of DORMA finishes, but is a clever option for anyone requiring visually matched products for a single build identity.
The new design concept has been applied to the unique range of DORMA cam action closers - the TS 91 / 92 / 93 and TS 97 - along with the ES200 Automatic sliding door and ED200 Automatic swing door operators.
Already a big market favourite, the already elegant TS 93 with its linear drive mechanism and heart shaped cam offers improved performance as the new, refined TS 93 CONTUR.
Previously the model satisfied the opening force requirements of Approved Document M and BS8300 on doors 875mm or wider, but the new TS93 CONTUR meets the requirements on doors of 767mm or above.
The graph shows the torque curve resulting from the third-party MPA Test House in Germany, which demonstrates the high efficiency of the new unit.
When fitted at size EN3 (18Nm) the new TS93 CONTUR produces an opening force of 23.00Nm, meaning that the unit produces a door opening force of 30N or less.
Thanks to the 'DORMA Cam Action' the resistance encountered when opening the door decreases almost instantly with the opening action and children, the elderly and handicapped have no problem in opening the door.
As with the previous version, the new TS93 CONTUR also offers adjustable power, a 'thinking back check' and adjustable delayed action - all essential criteria when looking to comply with ADM and BS8300.
