Polypipe Civils makes changes to water pipe system

Polypipe Civils has announced a change to its structured wall Ridgidrain and Ridgisewer pipe products.

The production of surface water and sewer pipes in diameters 750mm and 900mm will be transferred to the Ridgistorm-XL manufacturing line as part of its continued commitment to ongoing manufacturing improvements Ridgistorm-XL large diameter pipe system offers a number of benefits by using the latest design and manufacturing technology.

It is possible to design bespoke pipe profiles and individual stiffness classes ensuring that pipes and fittings can be manufactured to meet the specific ground conditions and requirements of a project.

The Ridgistorm-XL system offers both patented electro-fusion jointing and SBR push-fit seals which provide pipeline integrity and leak tightness, plus faster and safer installation onsite.

Ridgistorm-XL is suitable for use in surface water drainage schemes for commercial, residential and infrastructure applications.

The system can also be used for sewer applications, where approval should be sought from the adopting authority on a project-by-project basis, as is currently the case with 750 and 900mm Ridgisewer products.

Both 750mm and 900mm Ridgistorm-XL pipes and fittings have been assessed by the BBA and will carry third party accreditation reassurance.

The product range is also certified by the Water Research Centre (WRc) which covers stiffness classes from SN2 to SN8.
