D R Services specialises in the design, supply and installation of frameless glass systems and fittings and has produced a new CD which details its services.
Minimal sight lines and elegant aesthetic appeal are as much key attributes to Elba-line as its strength and durability.
The trolleys run on pairs of ground stainless steel rods, supported by stainless steel point fittings penetrating through the adjacent glass, onto the main building structure.
Each trolley assembly has two bearing wheels and one safety wheel, the latter being adjustable to alter the friction resistance of the door's operation, Side or over panels can be attached to the structure using patch fittings or channels, while the channels normally employed to secure fixed areas of glass can be recessed into the floor, further enhancing the transparency of the installation.
The Elba-Line range encompasses 10 versions for different configurations of opening from the Cavoli for a single leaf sliding door, to the Capoliveri which is able to accommodate a twin leaf sliding doorset with overleaf and two side panels.
Special variants are available to order.
It is possible to fit brush seals to any of the system variants while floor patch locks are also available to offer good levels of security.
The possible leaf width stretches from 700 mm to 1300 mm while the door height can be between 2050 and 2600 mm.
Although fabricated from the German 1.4305 type stainless steel, D R Services would recommend other systems for the doors to steam rooms and similarly aggressive situations.
The manufacturer can also advise on the use of Elba-line in conjunction with hardwood or metal doors.
