Two prestigious developments at Canary Wharf have benefited from glazing products and systems from D R Services.

Two prestigious developments at Canary Wharf have benefited from glazing products and systems from D R Services DS3 is a 14 storey office building which includes a seven storey atrium, two levels of trading floors and extensive retail areas which are connected to the existing shopping centre network

DS4, or 20 Canada Square, is on the south east corner of Canada Square and is paired with DS3.

The character of this building is based on a metallic skin with glass, and includes two south facing atria.

For DS3, D R Services manufactured and installed 10 slide and stack shop fronts and four fixed glass shop fronts for the developments, which has been designed by architects, Skidmore, Owings and Merrill for the Canary Wharf Group.

For the middle two units, D R Services supplied a bespoke 16 metre long curved track with stainless steel rails for frameless glass sliding panels.

The whole momentum of the design of the development is a combination of masonry and glass, which anchors the northeast elevation of Canada Square with the glazing of the retail units mirroring the rest of the development.

The use of glass is predominant in the design as some of the structure is located underground so the need is for the impression of light and space.

DR Services supplied the shop fronts in varying glazing styles to ensure that the uniformity of the design was met and that the retail outlets presented a welcoming and inviting entrance.

D R Services also worked on DS4, which has now been completed.

The company made minor alterations to a sliding stack frameless glass wall which had been installed a few years previously.

This involved modifying and shortening the feature to the architect's specifications.

Glass and glazing systems are an integral part of the structural composition of the Canary Wharf development.

D R Services has supplied high quality glazing that enhances the appearance of the external units in DS3, which is scheduled for completion later this year.

D R Services offers an extensive range of shop front fittings, both single and double glazed with toughened or laminated glass, and provides a full design and installation package.
