New DR-y Glaze shower from D R Services
DR-y Glaze from D R Services has now been given an extra style dimension through the introduction of a specially developed drop threshold.
Inside, D R Services worked closely with Larry Doyle to create the office pods using 12mm toughened glass screens.
Meanwhile, a translucent silk-screened finish to within 800mm of the 2.5m screen height, maintains a combination of privacy and visibility.
Spread over all four floors of the new building, the largest of the pods are 6m x 4m.
As they do not reach ceiling height, D R Services designed and supplied a series of square 40mm patches and square 40 x 10mm stainless steel beams to create a stable structure that was fixed to the floor.
The company's trademark sliding doors used fittings from the MWE Akzent range.
These are a square stainless steel track with rollers, complemented by square handles, all of which fitted the architect's overall theme in which square edges play a dominant role.
While this was the first contract D R Services had been awarded by Flood Interiors, others were won and completed while the Kildare job was in progress.
To date, D R Services has designed and supplied materials for another four contracts with M J Flood.
Among these is a series of glass office doors installed at a large financial institution in the Republic, and utilising a shear locking card control system.
