D R Services partnership with French company Sadev enables it to market point fittings and spiders for facades and canopy glass, in the UK

The world of virtually invisible fittings that keep glass in place in modern buildings is about to be shaken up by the entrance of a vigorous new player offering a system that covers all the areas currently occupied by the market leader.

Harlow-based D R Services has forged a partnership with French company Sadev that will allow it to market in the UK point fittings and spiders for facades and canopy glass - a market worth millions.

"We are full partners with Sadev," said Julie Jarvis, Technical Director of D R Services.

"we can provide technical advice, a rapid response and turn around on fittings and spiders to the glass market in the UK".

D R Services has been in the glass fittings business for many years.

"For us it is significant that we have direct access to Sadev," said Julie Jarvis.

"The structural fittings side is a natural progression as we can offer competitive prices, technical support and speedy delivery.

"It is a growing business because the fittings are able to take all the special glass configurations.

They suit both insulated and laminated glass and therefore can use glass with special coatings.

The customer can comply with all the green initiatives that the glass world is developing and the fittings will hold both the special and standard glass".

D R Services prides itself on being "very versatile".

"We are run by engineers, not just box shifters" Julie Jarvis explained.
