Dudley's has successfully completed a £300k refurbishment project of a Netto store in Hitchin, Hertfordshire.

Newport based specialist contractor, Dudley's has successfully completed a £300k refurbishment project of a Netto store in Hitchin, Hertfordshire, which included revising the existing store layout to enable an extension to the sales area.

The 6 week refresh comprised of new terrazzo tile flooring, suspended ceilings, walls and staff areas; updating the store to the required Netto standard.

The refurbishment also included a number of external works, including new shop fronts and roller shutters, as well as the addition of cladding to the building and car park works.

Danish-based Netto is reputedly one of the fastest-growing store groups in the UK.

It opened its first UK store in 1990 and now has 148 sites across the country, with plans to open an additional 15 stores this year.

The work for Netto is another example of Dudley's extensive expertise in retail refurbishments.

They have a long standing relationship with retailer Tesco and have been responsible for numerous shop fitting projects across the UK.

Other clients include Castle Leisure, Principality and Majestic Wine.

Martin Clothier, Dudley's site manager said, "We at Dudley's have extensive experience of both specialist construction and shopfitting, gained over a considerable period whilst working with a number of long standing clients".

"However this project tested our experience and threw up new challenges which we managed effectively delivering the project in just 6 weeks, to a satisfied client".

Dudley's were awarded this work through architects CPLC Associates and are currently negotiating 3 more Netto projects.
