Manufacturing output has risen from 600 to 1400 frames per week at Midlands-based fabricator, Truframe who use Duraflex PVCu profiles.

By any standards, Truframe is one of the window industry's success stories.

Even in a buoyant market, its achievements would be impressive - in the current tough conditions, they are truly remarkable.

The Midlands-based fabricator has grown by over 35% year on year for the past three years.

In that time, its manufacturing output has risen from 600 to 1400 frames per week.

Truframe's product portfolio includes PVCu windows, doors, patio's and conservatories, manufactured using Duraflex PVCu profile.

To meet escalating demand, the company has recently extended two of the production units at its headquarters on Saxby Industrial Estate in Leicestershire.

In August 2008, it will move into a further purpose built unit that will be devoted solely to the manufacture of vertical sliders, bi-fold doors and glazed astragal bar.

The new factory will increase space from 14,000 sq feet up to 19,000 sq ft - but the investment doesn't end there.

In the past two years, Truframe has installed over GBP600,000 on state-of-the-art equipment including a second cutting and preparation centre, new welding machinery, transom, mullion and corner cleaners and saws.

New staff have also been taken on in the sales, administration, transport and production departments.

Truframe has also expanded its delivery fleet, which reflects its growing status as a national company.

Frames are available for delivery in 5 working days and remakes, though rarely required, can be on site within 24-36 hours.

National Sales Manager, Steve Lane, explains; "there is no magic formula for our success.

Truframe have succeeded by giving customers what they need: excellent quality, service and very competitive pricing".

"We make sure that customers are 100% happy with their products and service, both pre-delivery and after delivery.

To say we have developed good working relationships with our customers would be an understatement.

Every customer knows they can pick up the phone to their contact at Truframe - or indeed any member of staff - and that any issues or queries will be answered immediately, be it with sales, delivery, production or transport.

The sales team is very experienced - Truframe seeks out staff who know the window industry inside out.

"Our sales team have all worked in the trade for many years and importantly, they know what makes our customers profitable.

Even though we've expanded rapidly, we know that we will only stay successful by making sure the quality of our products is as good, if not better than it always has been," explains Steve Lane.

"I can honestly say my phone rarely rings with customer issues and that's because we aim to get quality right first time.

We're not the cheapest manufacturer on the market: we're not aiming to be - but we are extremely competitive.

When you put the right price together with great quality and service, you can see why we are growing and why so many customers are turning to Truframe.".
