Wales is centre of clean green energy production
Dulas now recognized as a major player in the field of renewable energy and microgeneration.
Dulas were invited along with a handful of other participants to exhibit for key Members of Parliament in the House of Commons on 17th October.
The private exhibition featuring only select companies across the UK's renewable energy continuum was aimed at educating ministers, including Gordon Brown and Hilary Benn on the hot topic of renewable energies.
Above and beyond the UK dimension, Dulas were able to add an international perspective to the event by exhibiting the solar fridges that have received increasing accolade in recent years.
The interactive event, sponsored by the Renewable Energy Association and the Associate Parliamentary Renewable and Sustainable Energy Group, was organised by Joan Ruddock, MP for Lewisham Deptford a powerful campaigner on the issue of Climate Change.
The solar fridges, require no fuel supply to maintain the vaccine or blood within a critical temperature range.
The vaccines are incredibly expensive, and are ineffective if administered once outside of this temperature range.
Dulas usually supply worldwide, particularly to countries in Africa, but have prioritized the needs of Sudan.
The solar fridge systems will support vaccination programmes all over the world said overseas operations director, Guy Watson.
"We have had one of the company's busiest years in respect to fridge production and water supply, and are happy that the company have been able to raise the profile by exhibiting at such a prestigious event.
"Our philosophy at Dulas is very much one of improving the environment and people's lives through doing business in a profitable, sustainable and ethical way.
Helping people in Third World countries has always been a feature of the company's work.
"We have a great deal of experience in solar-powered water pumping, refrigeration and photovoltaics, which are fantastic resources for an isolated towns or villages.
Clean water supply is one of the UN 'Millennium Development Goals' which are proving to be key priorities for Governments and Aid organizations globally.
Devices like solar water pumps have an impact on improving the quality of life for people in these communities who at the moment struggle to find reliable supplies of clean drinking water".
As commented in Parliament: Lembit Opik (Montgomeryshire) (LD): "Does the Secretary of State agree that Wales could lead the world in environmentally sustainable manufacturing jobs through technologies such as geothermal, wind, tidal, hydrogen and solar power?.
Does he join me in applauding firms such as Dulas in Machynlleth and G24 Innovations, which he mentioned, in Cardiff, which will lead the way in clean energy for homes and businesses?.
Will he agree to meet a cross-sector delegation to hear manufacturers' proposals for an eco-strategy to make Wales a global leader in green and renewable technologies?" Mr Hain:" I, or my hon Friend the Under-Secretary, will certainly be pleased to receive a delegation, because this is a vital subject.
My hon friend visited Dulas and was hugely impressed with the company.
I completely agree with the hon Gentleman, as does Andrew Davies, the Minister with responsibility for economic development.
