CPS Fuels and Philmac Gas have partnered to meet the installation requirements of caravan sites in East Anglia and in the name of cost efficiency and ease of installation.

Since 1970, CPS Fuels has grown rapidly to become the leading energy supplier in East Anglia.

Supplying a variety of applications using gas, diesel and LPG, a number of the company's most recent installations have used fittings from the Philmac Gas range.

Three large caravan sites at Wells-next-to-Sea required the use of LPG gas and CPS Fuels selected Philmac Gas fittings to provide the perfect solution in terms of cost and ease of installation.

The aforementioned sites specifically required bulk underground tanks for metered caravans and the Philmac Gas mechanical compression fittings offered quick and easy jointing solutions, in comparison with conventional jointing operations.

The design flexibility of the Philmac Gas fitting also ensured CPS Fuels did not have to use generators or electrofusion machines, which in bad weather, causes technical difficulties during installation.

The first single seal plastic fitting to meet the criteria stipulated by Transco and Advantica, Philmac Gas requires no electrical power sources or special tooling and is especially ideal for remote and spread out sites such as caravan parks.

Commenting on the partnership, Irene Clark from CPS Fuels said: "We have been operating bulk installations of LPG since 1987, and have our own filling plant.

Due to the volume of our business, incorporating the whole of East Anglia and with a new depot in Wisbech set to serve Lincolnshire and Leicestershire, using Philmac Gas has substantially saved both time and money." The Philmac Gas range of fittings is comprehensive - straight and reducing joiners, tees, elbows, end connectors and end caps, with a full range of inserts.
