Complete Pipe Solutions In The North West
A range of pipe and joint solutions from Durapipe UK have been specified to cater for new build office and laboratory space in the North West.
As a result, the company turned to Kurion Technologies, who in turn used Durapipe PVC VK Valves within its DI Effluent recycling system.
Kurion Technologies is one of the UK's leading suppliers of wastewater treatment, resource recovery and water recycling systems and installed its DI Effluent recycling system into the two factories to maintain high quality metal finishing rinsewaters, improve the quality of process rinsing and reduce waste disposal.
Durapipe PVC VK ball valves were used for all actuated, control and manual valves, within the DI Effluent system, to meet the flow control requirements.
The valves are easy to install with the ability to be solvent welded and considerably reduced labour time and costs during the installation process.
In addition, the ball valves could offer Kurion Technologies benefits in terms of on-going maintenance and repair costs.
The valve body can be easily removed from the system allowing quick replacement of O-rings and ball seats without additional equipment.
In the closed position, the pipeline can also be disconnected downstream from the valve without leakage, offering considerable cost savings over the lifetime of the product.
Commenting on the project, David Cook from Kurion Technologies said: "We have used Durapipe UK valves and fittings in our systems for several years and have always been happy with the results so they were the first choice for these projects".
"The valves are quick and easy to fit, greatly simplifying the installation process, which is a huge benefit for the installers.".
