The Pipe Race exhibit utilises Durapipe PVC-U pipework to form a 'flume', which children need to piece together in order to move a rubber ball from one side to the other.

Durapipe UK has injected some fun into the new Extra Ordinary Gallery at the Snibston Discovery Park in Coalville, Leicestershire, by creating a children's Pipe Race exhibit The Pipe Race utilises Durapipe PVC-U pipework to form a 'flume', which children need to piece together in order to move a rubber ball from one side to the other

The game helps children to gain an insight into how important waste pipes are in people's everyday lives in a fun and engaging way, whilst teaching coordination skills.

The interactive exhibit aids youngsters in understanding how pipes can fit together in order to transport various materials and objects.

The new Pipe Race exhibit is one of several displays that have been created specifically for the new Extra Ordinary Gallery, which allows children to discover technologies and inventions that have shaped modern day life.

As a result, the innovative Durapipe PVC-U pipework was ideal for this fun and interactive game as it allows children to play easily and safely.

The Pipe Race sits alongside many other interesting exhibits in the gallery including a Robotic Arm, a large Electro Magnet and a Combustion Engine.

Brian Kennedy, Project Manager at the museum said "Durapipe UK provided us with all the pipework for the exhibit and was extremely helpful in selecting pipes that were durable enough to take all the punishment that an excited seven year could throw at them." He added "So far the Pipe Race has proved to be very successful with our younger visitors".

Set in the national forest over 100 acres of landscaped grounds, the Snibston Discovery Park boasts over 90 exciting hands-on interactive displays for children of all ages, including a History and Industry exhibition gallery.
