Barry will be presenting two papers during Glassex, which takes place from Tuesday 8th April to Thursday 10th April this year at the National Exhibition Centre, Birmingham.
The first of these, 'How to Successfully Convert Internet Sales Leads' will show how traditional follow up methods are simply inadequate for enquiries generated through web sites and offers simple, workable advice on how to optimise such leads.
The second presentation focuses on how to ensure your web site is suitable for your needs and not those of your designer.
Informatively titled 'How to Get the Web Site You Need, Not the One Your Web Designer Delivers', the session will advise delegates how they should take control of their web site build and offers key pointers to look for when seeking and briefing web site designers.
With the Internet and web-generated leads continuing to grow at more than 20% year on year in stark contrast to traditional methods of lead generation, Dunlop believes that home improvement companies will sink or swim dependent upon their Internet strategies: "The Internet has long ceased to be a novelty and is far more than simply a source of information," says Barry.
"But reaching your market through a flashy web site is not enough - there must be a sound strategy in place to ensure your web site appears in front of anyone looking for double glazing or a conservatory, and then to process any enquiries received appropriately".
"Internet users expect to be dealt with in seconds and minutes, not hours and days and expect the right form of response," insists Barry.
Places are limited and demand is expected to be high for Barry's presentations, which are offered on a first-come-first-served basis.
